Two new carpet runners have been added to our stocks. These are fine quality Turkish carpets ,80cm wide and woven on a commercial rated Axminster mill , that will give many years of satisfaction to the buyer.

The patterns are truly traditional and will suit all decors. The runners are made from synthetic materials that are easily cleaned, vacuumed or swept by a manufacturer famous for their quality workmanship. We would recommend laying on an underlay but directly to the floor will be OK except the soft feeling of the carpet and noise reduction will be reduced.

Stocktake happens every month at our place and we are keen to clear the odd ends and sizes that keep on cropping up. Some are good for rooms and others can be big enough for 2 or 3 rooms. Manufacturers also send us their short lengths to clear for them. at a price we know will attract quick sales.

Fix sub floor moisture, wet or damp concrete floor

A material, Protect Crete Moisture Fix 1 and 2, is now available for the correction of non damp proofed concrete floors or where a membrane has been compromised.

The result of moisture underfloor is discolouration from mould, expansion of floor to the point of speed humps , release of adhesive resulting in displacement or bubbling of floor covering and terrible odours in the rooms.

There are 2 forms of this product.

It is simple to apply to a solid and clean old or new concrete floor of suspect history or obvious dampness. It gets into the concrete and hangs on!

No. 1 or Moisture Fix is for floors when adhesive will be used. (Carpets or tiles).

No. 2 or Moisture Fix Barrier is for batten installed or floating timber flooring , lay flat vinyls or conventional fixed carpet and carpet tiles. When the material is not glued to the floor.

The costing is $15-00 per sq m (1 litre will fix about 4 sq m) plus our application price ( about $280-00 per 1 – 80 sq metres) if required.

Available in 10 or 20 litre containers.

The product comes in 10 and 20 litre single mix packs, is environmentall friendly, user safe, walkable in 1 hour and install floor coverings next day ( 24 hours).

A large and varied range of runners is stocked in the shop at 512 Parramatta Rd Ashfield.We can make runners to order and the most popular plain red runner is available 1metre wide or 1.2metre wide by up to 25 metres long. Tell us your needs and delivery will be approximately 3 days and $20-$30.00 Australia Wide.

These shots give an indication of what you can get. The $15-95 per metre runners are rubber backed and can be overlocked each end for $10-00 (2 ends).The plain red runners are now available from only$45-00 per m, overlocked all round.We can supply the red carpet up to 4 m wide by 25 metres long but is not always in stock and is $33-00 per Sq metre plus overlocking and handling charges.

Yes we do have red carpet runners but they are 90cm wide or 120cm wide ( atleast at the time of writing).

5m or even longer , up to 20m can be achieved without a join and currently work out to be $33.90 per m overlocked for the 90cm and $43-90 for the 120 wide.

The runners are available in greater widths up to 4 metres but price on application.

The pricing does vary so please confirm with us at the time of your order.

Delivery can be arranged and can take place about 3 days after you order for the 90cm and 120cm ones.

Payment of a deposit is required (Net Bank) with full payment needed before dispatch.

We also have an ‘off” black( a deep charcoal sort of colour) coloured runner which would be a stunner for an all white bride. Something to think about.

Cash and carry from our rear lane entrance off Earle Ave or Frederick St makes pick up a breeze. The pricing starts from $9-99 per Sq metre and covers a whole spectrum of product from Europe and Asia. Our only stipulation is that we will only hold stocks which are fibre glass supported. This means that it can be simply laid on the floor, cut to size after checking that the pattern is straight, and no glue is required. Simple and ecologically friendly, don’t worry about how happy the customer will be. No curling, bubbling or shrinking. Put the fridge back , the table and chairs and have a cup of tea.

A hard wearing Australian made synthetic broadloom carpet available in 3 colours for only $9-99 per sq m or $36-60 per Broadloom metre. Minimum order is for 5 broadloom metres. Delivery to anywhere in Australia but the courier will want to quote specifically per job. This is ideal for use in rumpus rooms or rentals. It even looks good in an office situation and wears surprisingly well. It can be loose laid, direct stuck to a reasonably smooth floor ( We have the adhesive here at $15-00 per litre), or laid on underlay which we have for $6-60 per sq m.We do offer a laying service , but only for the Sydney and Gosford areas. Current laying rates vary from $30-00 per broadloom metre to $48-00 plus add ons for various items (Stairs ,floor repair, wardrobes , door trims etc). All plus GST. To overcome these unknowns , we offer a measure and quote service with no obligation to buy.

We have an interesting carpet available in broadloom form ( 3.66 wide) made from 80% wool and 20 % synthetic for strong wearing perfomance. This can be laid direct or on underlay and suitable for light commercial or general domestic use. Great for a rumpus room , garage or play areas. It is easy to clean but won’t show soil much anyway. We can supply it as a rug with overlocked edges in your nominated size.

Best of all , it is only$ 18-00 per square metre

No more ripples, rippling, curly ,moving, sliding, slipping, creeping , gathering, rucking and other frustrating movements.

The shot above shows the pile lean on a normal carpet. This one to the right shows the pile brushed one way and the one below is of the same carpet, same place , but brushed the opposite way. Note the difference in colours or shading. This is caused by foot traffic and is often confused with soiling or wearing out. I did this in 2 strokes with my hand. Loop pile carpets will show less than plush pile. The example above is a twist pile nylon. The composition does not mean much , but there is a carpet available which will not show this condition very much.

The main point is that the pile lean direction is always one way and any carpet or other flat surface placed on top of the main carpet will move in that direction, and only that one direction, as the pile reacts to the pressure of walking back and forth
